This Privacy Policy explains how BDTren (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the ShamShorts mobile app and related services at shamshorts.bdtren.com.
1. Information we collect
- Guest use — no account required. Local preferences and interactions may be stored on your device.
- Account data — if you sign up, we store your email and a password hash for authentication.
- Synced activity — when signed in, bookmarks, likes, and related activity you choose to sync may be stored on our servers.
- Subscription status — purchase and entitlement data from Apple or Google when you subscribe to ShamShorts Pro.
- Device and diagnostics — basic technical data needed to operate the app, send verification emails, and improve reliability.
- Advertising identifiers — on the free tier, ad partners may collect device advertising IDs subject to their policies and your OS settings.
2. On-device data
Much of ShamShorts works locally on your phone. Scroll history, guest bookmarks, and app settings may remain on the device unless you sign in and sync. We do not sell personal data.
3. How we use information
- Provide guest and authenticated app features
- Send email verification and password-reset messages
- Sync activity when you use an account
- Process ShamShorts Pro subscriptions via Apple and Google
- Secure the service, prevent abuse, and fix bugs
- Respond to support requests
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- App stores — Apple and Google for subscription and purchase processing
- Email provider — to deliver verification and password-reset emails
- Ad partners — on the free tier, subject to their privacy policies

5. Retention
We retain account data while your account is active. You may delete your account from the app or contact us at support@bdtren.com. We may retain limited records where required for legal, security, or billing purposes.
6. Security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. We use industry-standard practices to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Children
ShamShorts is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data.
8. Your choices
- Use the app as a guest without creating an account
- Limit ad tracking in your device OS settings
- Delete your account from Profile or email us for assistance
- Cancel ShamShorts Pro in your app store subscription settings
9. International users
Our servers may be located in jurisdictions different from yours. By using ShamShorts you consent to processing in those locations subject to applicable law.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
