Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”, “EULA”) govern your access to and use of the ShamShorts mobile application and related services operated by BDTren (“we”, “us”, “Licensor”). By downloading, installing, continuing as a guest, creating an account, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. License grant
Subject to these Terms, BDTren grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ShamShorts on devices you own or control, solely for personal use as permitted by the applicable app store rules (Apple App Store / Google Play). You may not rent, lease, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the app except as expressly allowed by law or the store.
2. The service
ShamShorts provides a simulated short-video scrolling experience with fictional content. All videos, livestreams, metrics, and social signals in the app are fake or simulated unless explicitly stated otherwise. ShamShorts is not a real social network. There are no real creators, followers, or direct messages between users.
You may use ShamShorts as a guest without an account, or create an account to sync certain activity. Features may change over time.
3. Accounts
If you create an account, you must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
4. Fictional content disclaimer
Content in ShamShorts is for entertainment and habit-interruption purposes. Do not rely on app content as factual, medical, legal, or financial advice. Do not attempt to contact, meet, or interact with any person depicted — all personas are fictional.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use ShamShorts for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the app or servers
- Circumvent security, authentication, or subscription checks
- Harass our staff or abuse support channels
- Misrepresent ShamShorts content as real news, real people, or real social interaction
6. ShamShorts Pro subscriptions
ShamShorts Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription that may remove ads and unlock premium UI features such as Monochrome Mode. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your device’s subscription settings. Refunds are handled by the app store under its policies.
Free features remain available without a subscription. Subscription benefits and pricing may change with notice where required by the store or law.
7. Advertising
The free tier may display banner or other ads. Ad partners may collect device advertising identifiers subject to their policies and your OS settings. ShamShorts Pro may remove ads while subscribed.
8. Intellectual property
ShamShorts, its branding, UI, and original simulated content are owned by BDTren or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you ownership of any intellectual property in the app.
9. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BDTREN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF SHAMSHORTS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.
11. Termination
You may stop using ShamShorts at any time and delete the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
